::: Fujitsu Changes Freight and Warehousing :::
01/03/2006
Fujitsu General has appointed Northline to provide national warehousing and distribution services for its air conditioners and plasma panels. Consistent with Northline's own corporate strategy, the deal includes logistics capabilities not only in the mainland capital cities but also Townsville in the north of Queensland.
The three year contract, which is effective from 1st March 2006, follows a decision by Fujitsu management to improve warehouse efficiencies and centralise freight administration.
A key performance measure is Northline's ability to deliver stock at pre-specified times, enabling retailers to guarantee the availability of Fujitsu products in their stores. Northline will provide three Client Services Managers as senior points of contact for Fujitsu customers. |
