Train derailment impacting services East-West and North-South

Restoration of the East-West and North-South rail network is underway, with services suspended between Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney to Perth, as well as Adelaide and Melbourne into the Northern Territory. 

Whilst the severity of track damage is under investigation, rail providers have estimated that services will resume on Saturday evening, 10 January.

There has been a major train derailment near Port Augusta, SA which is impacting all train services East-West and North-South.

We are currently working through impacted consignments and organising road units to cover movements where possible in the interim.
