Northline to expand national logistics presence in Sydney

Northline continues its investment into property with new Sydney freight and warehouse facilities to be completed in early 2024.

This will see Northline consolidate its current four operating Sydney depots into a dual flagship site.

The new freight and warehouse facilities will be strategically located in Kemps Creek within close proximity to the planned Western Sydney airport in Badgerys Creek, which is expected to open in 2026.

This will provide easy access to intermodal terminals as well as the M7, M5, M4 and new North and WestConnex motorways. Its well-appointed location will see improvements to transit speed and efficiency.

The 86,000 square metre site will span across two adjoining locations, allowing for 21,300 square metres of warehousing and 17,400 square metres for freight.

The development will be purpose built to suit Northline’s operational requirements and as a result, will feature larger warehouse capacity, higher roof heights, specialised pallet racking and the ability to handle and manage super B-Doubles.

The new facilities also continue the company’s ongoing relationship with the Gibb Group, who will facilitate the development in partnership with Northline.

Northline offers daily services from Sydney into their national freight and warehousing network of 13 depots with more than 130,000 square metre capacity, and an international reach into more than 100 countries.

Northline’s industry-leading, fully integrated national freight management services combine the best individual components of a national network across road, rail, sea and air into solutions that meet the needs of their customers. Northline can accommodate full container load, less than container load, project logistics and over-dimensional loads.
