Progress is well underway for Northline’s new $38 million depot in Brisbane

Construction of Northline’s newest purpose-built depot in Brisbane is progressing smoothly and is set to be operational from June this year.

The depot will consolidate Brisbane’s warehousing and transport facilities into one site, providing easy access to main transport routes connecting customers more efficiently to North Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.

The centralised premises will occupy a 45,700 square metre site with 18,000 square metres under cover and offer customers linehaul movements, local pick-up and delivery services and warehousing as well as accommodate B-Double and road train movements.

New technology sets to increase productivity and volumes in the warehouse with automated pallet racking and a paperless order system. The site will also be quarantined approved.

Northline Chief Executive Officer, Craige Whitton said that the move has been prompted by the business’s continuous growth and the site’s strategic location near arterial roads.

The new depot will be located at 20 Wood Street, Bundamba.
