The rise of Northline’s Perth operation

Northline established a standalone depot within a new fire station at Perth airport in 1992, driven by a large-scale wine contract with Cellarmasters.

By the early 90s, business for Northline was booming. With fruitful operations across Australia, Northline was becoming a national business, and it was essential to establish a presence in other key markets to maintain and attract new work.

Eventually, the company established itself into a more permanent facility at Redcliff before a contract with Unilever promoted a move to Welshpool in 1995.

Over the next few decades, Northline had numerous moves within Welshpool before settling into a facility in Hazelmere for 12 years.

In 2019, Northline’s Western Australia operation entered a new era and opened a state-of-the-art distribution centre in Kenwick. The new location offered improved road-rail connectivity, which became an important part of the business.

Located at 84 Logistics Boulevard, Kenwick, Northline’s Perth branch can facilitate B-Double and road train movements. The facility occupies a 30,000 square metre site, with 19,525 square metres under cover including 11,000 square metres of warehousing.

In the same year, the depot was recognised for its strong work ethic and was awarded ‘Branch of the Year’.
